This is a really excellent and welcome update, ManyBills. I realize I'm not your mom, but I am SO PROUD of you! Getting three kids off to school with no loan debt, paying off the debt you have, and continuing to focus on doing ONE THING well? Sheesh, it's like you've really learned something important! (Yes I know, you have.)

There is another plan that needs development at this point, which is what you will do when the last of the credit cards hits zero. This is one of several things that I have been holding off talking to you about (laser focus needed on the one thing, and all). Balancing the work of paying off the current debt and planning for what you will do next can be tricky. When in doubt, focus on the payoff. However, in those glimmers of moments of open space in your time, thoughts, energy, and focus, put a little bit of consideration toward that. There are a lot of choices available, so it's worth spending time with your spouse to figure out what the two of you want next.

ThyPeace, my next focus was building good investing habits. Not everyone will go that route. For example, improving the income side of the balance sheet could also be a next step, or getting additional education, or building enough for a long-delayed vacation, or....
