This is one of our main problems in our factories in China.
We have been hit far to many times by a blackout when we really could not afford to stop production.
To solve the problem we have decided to build our own power plant!
Due to the strong negotiation power (we employ nearly 50k people) we even got the ok from the authorities within a year (I dont know how long it takes in the US to get a power plant approved but I believe it must be longer).
The construction is under way and by next year it will be fully operational. Big operations like ours all over China are following this approach to avoid the dependency on the public power net.

just my 2 cents
