Right now, in my vegi garden the beets are getting close to pulling a few young ones for yummy dinners. This piece in the N.Y.Times nails it & with a good recipe to boot:

When I return home at the end of the day, it's just too hot to turn the oven on. Rather than roasting in the oven, I'm going to try using indirect heat and cook the beets on the Weber Kettle grill.

Over the weekend, we used Cook's Illustrated new, thin crust, pizza recipe. There was no rise time required. (Of course substituting some spelt flour for the regular flour.) Grilled it outside. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
