This is something we understand since my wife had it as a child.

So this means it goes away?

We have a difficult decision to make. Do we hold her out of soccer? If we do, do we let her go back after the next blood test if the counts are still rising? Do I insist on treatment so she can possibly start playing earlier with safe instead of marginal platelet counts?

Is the potential bleeding treatable? Meaning, let's say she takes a hard shot to the stomach - if you rush her to the hospital, could they control the bleeding? That would be my concern - whether or not it would be a treatable event.

Sorry to hear she is ill, but I am glad it is treatable.
