This is the problem with impeaching Trump.

Without evidence of wrongdoing so alarming that it would cause some of the president’s own supporters to break ranks, any such effort would lack the legitimacy it needs.

There isn't anything that fits this criteria. Trumpsters will never break with him. Nixon resigned because a delegation of Republicans went to the White House and told him that if he force a trial in the Senate, there were enough Republicans willing to join the Democrats to reach the 2/3rds majority needed for removal.


I can't think of even one Republican Senator that will vote to remove him. No, not even Susan Collins. And even if she might actually do it, her vote would be offset by Joe Manchin who doesn't get that Trump doesn't love him and much as he loves Trump.
