This is what I use to post an image:

Softwaretimes is my own website and it's working for everyone else. At least I have not heard anyone else complain. To set up Hotlink Protection you make a list of allowed URLs and, obviously, all mine are on the white list. Since the link I provided is to my own website there is no reason not to display the image. I wonder what is fooling the server to no let you see the image. I have no way to test for a bug.
