Howdy, Everyone!

My last update can be found here:

Well, mission accomplished. Today I paid off the last of the three rental mortgages totaling $177,650 three-and-a-half months ahead of schedule. I'm done. I took a wad of 43 hundred dollar bills to my local mortgage company and paid it off in full. Additionally, I'm officially declaring FI and will now enjoy the challenge of redirecting my financial resources towards building a dividend growth portfolio, something I've wanted to do for a long time but held off while I completely deleveraged.

Of course it feels great, but I think it'll take more time for the full impact to really sink in. It's been the consuming desire and financial focus of my life for so long now. I look forward to not HAVING to work to make a living and dedicating my free time to whatever I darn well please. Especially lots of volunteer work.

Thanks to all for the support I've received. Even the silent recs spoke loudly to encourage me. I hope my thread will encourage many others who want to become fully, 100% debt-free.

Here's to all of you, Fools!

TicoHombre signing off...(at least as far as rental payoff updates are concerned).
