I have Daimler-Chrysler (DCX) and Bank One (ONE) shares in my portfolio that were purchased in 1986. I also have some tech shares purchased late in 1999. Characteristics of DCX and ONE have changed enough to reconsider holding the shares; tech shares are, well, tech shares. My question: Is it a good idea to sell the DCX, ONE, and tech shares and offset earnings (DCX, ONE) with losses (tech)?
