TMFRfk: Thanks Oliver, interesting story -- not that I can read the German :-).I'm sure Oliver will take great delight in correcting my attempt below <wink>.Handys Replace the Parking Vending MachineHelsinki is starting a pilot project for using mobile phones to pay parking fees. The newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet reports that beginning in September, three different payment systems will be tested in Finland's capital. One of these will replace the current vending machines, which will be no longer useful after the introduction of the Euro. One of the prerequisites for such a system is the assumption that each driver will possess a mobile phone. One system has the driver call a seperate phone number and enters the park zone. Another system assumes drivers are equipped with a parking certificate printer, from which monthly statements are printed. A third system works with a unique phone number for each parking automobile. In early 2001, a decision will be made about which system will be deployed.wird-es-verstanden?-ly y'rs,-Rubic
