To me the most surprising thing here is that Barnett wasn't even CLOSE in the voting with just six. Should Suggs have gotten it? Iffy I guess, but he won it in a landslide, and it's not like you can say he doesn't deserve it, cause he really has been a monster out there.

Sacks, like RBI in baseball, is a stat that voters way heavily. Suggs had quite a few advantages, though -- Ray Lewis for one helped a lot. He was also put in a position to succeed. For most of the season he was just asked to rush the QB. I still think some other players had a bigger overall impact for their team because they were involved in so many more plays, but Suggs is a deserving winner.
