Today was suppose to be the first day it was possible to efile for those with itemized deductions. Was it or were there problems?

The IRS has notified e-file submitters that it is imposing daily limits on the number of submitted returns so that their systems don't get overloaded. The e-file aggregators will be submitting the backlogged returns and new submissions as quickly as the IRS will let them, but e-filing acknowledgments will be delayed.

The delays affect both consumer (TurboTax) and professional (Lacerte, ProSeries) submissions.
