No matter how optimistically you row, it's good to have the oars in the right way. I was in a double this morning with another woman(who is 61 and looks no older than late 40s). We had actually been hoping to get assigned together - kind of learning on the same pace.

We got off the dock and warmed up separately and then couldn't row together to save our souls. Could we have gotten the wrong oars ? The coach saw what we had and didn't say anything. We get to the waiting place and finally the coach sees the issue. 3 of 4 oars were in wrong. (I had one right and one wrong but still didn't get a clue).

Oh well, we fixed them and then did great. Got back into the dock on one try and didn't tip or hit anything which apparently was a huge success today :)
