Another excellent post.

Sorry, you can only recommend a post to the Best of once.

Don't know if you are aware but you were the subject of a rather popular Best Of thread.

There are apparently some rather hapless feebs still about that think when you commit US troops into battle you play for a draw.

And a goodly number of the hapless still about that think in a classical guerilla insurgency, like Vietnam or this Iraqi mess, you can distinguish combatants from civilians easily.

They are undoubtedly the internet warriors so common that tappity tap about military campaigns and tactics and strategy.

This Coalition of the Hapless that are stuck in the 1970s and that we hear from so often here are unbelievable.

There was a report yesterday in the NYT and elsewhere about how real soldiers think. One soldier was reported as saying that US troops will destroy Falluja. The other said he hopes so. That is the way war is and should be waged.

Instead, we hear alot of drivel and pap here from internet warriors and internet veterans that think you wait for a person to show their combatant/non-combatant papers before calling in a gunship. Very comforting. Part of the problem with placing all of the burden on the very, very few. The Coalition of the Hapless at home is huge and growing.
