NYT's Floyd Norris wrote a piece about how S&P 500 adjusted for inflation is still below peak of March 2000, etc.

There is a chart, as usual when a columnist loves reminiscing about the tech bubble to make some sort of point on current status, that shows the top 25 stocks in terms of capitalization - from March 2000 til now, adjusted for inflation, etc.

Of the top 10 stocks, only 3 stocks have registered positive gains. Those are....


which are all in BH's portfolio recently or have been for quite some time..

GE was mainly done for the 10% or 11% coupon so the equity price performance, relatively speaking, is weighted less
