Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a FAQ for this board. (It's often up to board residents to create one. That's much more efficient than waiting for a TMFer to get to it.)

The Motley Fool Investment Workbook ( *does* go into reading financial statements -- a little. It's a good start. For a fairly easy to read but more in-depth treatment, I'd recommend John Tracy's "How to Read a Financial Report" (
