Tyson rebounds a little bird flue comes out. Tyson gets into beef we see mad cow. If Tyson decided to go into pork the nation would throw away the idea of not adopting a religion and go either Muslim or Jewish.
This is a cursed company, there is no other explanation.

That said. There is something besides the obvious wrong at Tyson, their management has been too bad for too long. There has never been a shareholder, nor an employee focus. To fail to plan is to plan to fail is what I believe is Tyson's story. I dripped Tyson a while ago, and from their annual reports I would have to say this is a company that does not really believe in a long range plan in any meaningful way, and it is more reactive than proactive in any meaningful way and even then it is a 'copycat' rather than an innovator(why no attempt at getting into the higher margin area of free range chicken etc?).

This is a company desperate for a shakeup and not in a situation where it will ever get one.
