Thanks much for all the information. I don't have a huge plan or timeframe in selling some of the shares of GM stock. I just feel a bit uncomfortable having all my stock in one company (and one industry). So that is the reason I have decided to sell some of the GM.

Again since I'm a new owner of this stock and I don't know a whole lot about it..... When I go to the quotes and data section of this web site and look at GM how do I figure out what kind of dividend they last paid? Do they pay a dividend quarterly? In the quotes it say under dividend .50 does that mean 50 cents a share? Is that what they paid last quarter?
