Unreal indeed.

Just to let you know, I do know of someone who countersued after being hit with Doe SLAPP suit. His countersuit failed because he was never sued - he was a John Doe without an identity - And the John Doe had to pay the other party's legal fees! I am not a lawyer, but keep that in mind.

If it were me who was sued, here's what I'd do (Note: this should not be construed as advice, and I'd check with a lawyer first before doing this):

1. I would set up a non-profit organization such as "<name> for Free Speech"

2. I would then get an account with PR Newswire or Business Wire.

3. And then I would write up a non-defamatory press release and have it sent nationally. Virtually every news organization in the country would get it. It would probably cost around $600 bucks for the first one.

Regardless of how you proceed, this is a story worthy of informing a lot of people about in my opinion, and it certainly would be a topic of interest these days.

May you have the very best of luck, and remember, the best defense is a good offense.
