According to my records, the end of trading in 2000 saw JCI at 52.00. The last day of trading in 2001 saw JCI at 80.75. Let's see...someone check behind me on my math...

80.75 - 52 = 28.75

28.75/52 = .5528, or 55.28%

If my school math recollections are correct, then JCI has just earned a whopping 55.28% gain for the year.

I'd say that's quite nice...
