I have just plowed through the paper copy of Red Herrings 100 list.
Looking at “Storage” they have this year listed seven companies.
What caught my eye were comments about Veritas.
Market cap March -27.6 bil up from 5 bil. TTM 1.2 bil. PE 79.1

Stated that the market for storage software est. will grow to $10.4 bil. by 2004.

If total forward market is 10.4 bil. and market cap is three x the potential market what is still wrong with the valuation of this company?

Does anyone look at the market data at all?

Someone should be riding a with a lantern in hand shouting, “ The bottom is still coming the bottom is still coming”.
