Very few people need anything more than the Basic version, except if they have a state return to file in which case, the next level up, which contains the state return as well, is appropriate.

Thank you for the confirmation. No state returns here (yet..) - so I can save a few bucks without worry. I have had to use the Business version in the past - indeed, had to get a used PC to run it on - but no longer.
