We have a Ring that I'm looking to replace because:

1) Slow response; by the time it kicks in all I see is the back of person who has come to the door to drop something off. If we were to have a pkg stolen, I'm not sure we'd see much of the person at all.

2) Range; Our front door faces the street so we're stuck with the choice of keeping the range short (which makes the above problem worse) or extending the range and picking up cars (which seem to be excellent reflectors and trigger the sensor).

Also, I put up an Arlo camera and, like the Ring, it's okay if someone rings the doorbell then stands there otherwise it likely won't pick someone up.

I'm almost wondering if I don't need some electric-eye type system!
