(1) You said, "I am very new to trading." But that's not what you meant to say. You really meant to say "new to investing", and you need to be aware of the differences between the two.

(2) TD is a horribly expensive broker to deal with and has a very clunky platform. Schwab or Fidelity would have been better choices. Don't yank the account. Just don't use them to execute your orders, which need to be done at shops like Robinhood, Motif, FolioFn, etc., where you can commish-free executions.

(3) Yeah, ESG (which is just 'Socially Responsible Investing' re-labeled) is a tar baby of a topic about which a lot of meaningless virtue-signal gets done. But the returns aren't necessary inferior to those achieved by them who invest without such screens, as many studies document.
