This is very bad news for YHOO share holders. YHOO was on my list of unloved stocks to research because of its holding in Alibaba and Alipay. I agree that when investing in China, you need a much greater margin of safety to protect from huge losses. Because of the binary nature of these investments it might be better to position size as if you're purchasing a call option rather than shares when buying Chinese companies. There is no doubt, lots of money to be made and lost investing in China.
