WSJ reports this a.m. that Louis Rukeyser has been yanked from Wall Street Week, the PBS investing program usually seen on Friday nights. Apparently he is 69. Maryland Public Broadcasting planned to change formats in a jv with Fortune magazine once his contract expired in June. But unlike Ted Koppel, he was a bit vocal about it on the air last week. So now he has been yanked from the show (even though he is part owner).Story says he likely will appear in some other TV show.Everything changes. This looks like the end of quite an era.
Heh. I remember that when I was very young and watching PBS, I saw a promo for Wall $treet Week, and asking someone else (an older cousin?) what the vertical line through the S meant. He said it meant Satan. I believed him.
