Walt had a vision for his company. We are departing from that vision. We have to ask ourselves -- very seriously -- if that is acceptable. Upper management is assuming that it is.

How far do we let standards "slip"? How many lightbulbs do we allow to burn out? How much trash do we allow on Main Street before we clean it? How many days do we put off maintenance on this or that ride? Is somebody going to quantify all this for us? Striving for perfection is a much easier goal.

I think the main problem is that we might be spread too thin. If we can't maintain the Parks we have -- the way Walt envisioned them to be maintained -- why in heaven's name are we opening new ones?
