I am moving to Manhattan, and was wondering if I can get cable or DSL out there. I have cable right now through Charter/Earthlink here in Pasadena, CA and I love it for only $90/month (includes cable TV for two tvs and cable modem rental).

From my preliminary research it looks like no cable. I read something about Roadrunner hopes to get something going soon, and RCN will supply access if most of the tenants in a building sign up.

As for DSL, I found one company, Red-www.redconnect.com, that looks like they will supply it for a $300 setup charge and $80/month. That seems pretty steep to me. Anyone who follows this board live in New York City or vicinity and can help me out? I would appreciate it. Thanks.
