We are celebrating Thanksgiving in a cabin this year. The cabin has an apartment size stove. I need some help. There will be about 12 people present.

I have an apartment size stove in my house, it is 18 inches wide. The only time the size was ever a problem was when I tried to roast 8 Cornish game hens on a jelly roll pan. I had never used the jelly roll pan before, and I didn't realize that the pan was too large for the oven. I ended up leaving the oven door open several inches to accomodate the pan, and I turned the oven temperature up. I confided to one guest the problem, had another drink and everything turned out fine.

I have served 14 people for Thanksgiving without any problems. I roasted the turkey in the oven, it fit just fine. I prepared mashed pototes on the stove. Cooking space was simply not an issue, I always make extra stuffing in a pan in addition to stuffing the bird. I put 2 dishes in the oven when the turkey came out, used the microwave for one dish, and the stove for 2 others.

I stuck the rolls in to heat as we were dishing up and beginning to serve, they only need about 7 minutes to heat. I just put them on the table last and everything worked fine.

I wouldn't hesitate to entertain a group again because of the size of the stove.
