We had heard Carnival cruises usually are inhabited by the very young. To me that means lots of loud partying. That was not a problem on Princess. They seemed to accommodate the young partiers, but in a way that kept the cabin areas quiet. The activities were orderly. No major problems.

As a veteran of a half-dozen Carnival cruises, I have to say that tho the younger set is definitely present, there are probably more middle-agers there (myself included).

NEVER did I have a problem with noise, loud partying, in or near my cabin. In fact the worst problem was an elderly gentleman in the next cabin on his cellphone... but we won't go there!
