We were supposed to leave yesteday for two weeks in Europe, flying through Schipol with a layover and then on to Budapest. Then up the Danube via Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany -- and then by land to Prague.

We would have been flying right into it.

This was two years in the planning and last week we made the decision to call it off. Luckily the cruise line was excellent about offering credits and options, as was Delta. (We had splurged on Premium Select cabin on Delta; I'd really been looking forward to that flight.)

Extremely disappointing but as this week has developed, the right call. We basically would have been landing in Covid Centralfor two weeks mingling at tourist sites and the Christkindle markets. A possible one-way ticket to the ICU... despite being thrice vaccinated...
