We've had to be more sedentary this past 2 years. First my surgery, than 1poorlady's cancer (and surgery), and then another surgery for me, plus COVID. Stayed at home most of the time.

We try to get out in the morning for a walk in the neighborhood. I carry some weight to force the bones to densify. About 20 lbs (my camera bag). I don't measure it in steps, but it's about a mile. Give or take.

And when I go to the office, I don't use my roller bag. I carry a backpack with papers, water bottle, etc, that I used to carry in the roller bag. Probably less than 10 lbs. Same goal: walk, and get the bones to densify.

Thanks for the info. I can do 1/2 an hour pretty easily. My motivation wanes when you start talking 1-2 hours of exercise, unless it's a hike to a pretty place (or walking around a foreign town, exploring).
