I started this board after fielding a question about what a young lady starting high school needs to do to get into the college of her choice. College admissions is the holy grail for many parents and the biggest fear for many high school students.

Disclaimer: I have no kids and it has been over 20 years since I graduated high school. However, I do volunteer to represent my Alma Mater at local college fairs and I also provide local interviews for admission candidates.

My goal for this board is to foster discussion on what high school students need to do to prepare the college admissions process as well as to prepare for going away to college. Although this topic focuses on the parent, teenage queries and perspective are also welcome. So welcome to the board and I look forward to your participation.

Who is not an expert on college admissions but, as in his investing strategy, employs a common sense approach to the question...
