Well I trade without the constant rebalancing.

I just simply hate the idea of trading $100 of a stock just to make the numbers fall inline.

I also might have a higher number of stocks sold than purchased in some weeks. I also want to do all the buys and sells within one window.

The update and exchange method worked really well and easily for me without having a large cash buffer. I could do my trades with only $100 in cash left remaining,

Not sure yet if any of these suggestions will get all my needs met. We will be finding out over the next several months.
