Well, they do have rights to U.S. Transformers which are actually licensed from Takara Inc. I'll have to check on the percentage unless you already have it but their top selling lines were Beyblade, G.I. Joe and Star Wars. I forget where TF fell in all that.

Hasbro does have something in the pipeline for Transformers. Unrelated to the movie, they have an upcoming Cybertron line due sometime mid to late June and also have a animated cartoon due on Cartoon Network by the fall of the same name.

Their Energon toys are trickling off shelves as Cybertron is due but Energon sales were good.

I've not heard of any plans to create a toy line from characters from the movie but I would bet they have something planned.

Hasbro would benefit if the movie did well only if they have a toy line out relatable to the movie.

They will however, have the Cybertron toy line and corresponding cartoon to drive sales to but I don't know yet how they plan to pull that off.

Cybetron is hoped to last through the next toy and holiday season cycle.
