We've had it so good, for so long, we honestly feel it is a right to have a good paying job, cheap gas, housing equity that goes up in double digits every year. After all, we are Americans! We are the good guys!

We've lost sight of how hard our ancestors (and some of us) worked to get us to where we are. Of how much they did without.

There's also some sort of resentment to recent immigrants when they succeed thru hard work, LBYM, and delayed rewards. Many of our own families were probably in similar circumstances a few generations back (off the boat, working hard for little, etc.). But now we *deserve* everything and can get ticked off when someone else works hard to acheive it?!
