What about wood chips (or biofuels). Can they grow enough trees? They might be carbon neutral as trees convert carbon dioxide to cellulose by photosynthesis. There is also switch grass and other fast growing crops.

They're shipping tons of wood pellets from the US to Europe. Can the US grow enough trees? It's carbon neutral if you ignore the fuel used by the harvesting equipment, fuel used by the trucks transporting the wood to the pellet manufacturing plants, fuel and electricity to run the pellet plants, fuel by the trucks or trains to transport the pellets to the port, fuel by the ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean, and then fuel by trucks or trains to transport the pellets to the utility boiler.
