What does a dermatologist encounter in his practice that makes it much more stressful than your own?

Depends on their practice.

But for the most part, is that a benign skin change or early melanoma? The window to catch/treat is very small. Do you biopsy everything in sight and get flagged for overuse?

You do plenty of "plastics" procedures: botox, fillers, etc. Too much, wrong spot, then you have some vain 60 year old suing you for not making them look like they are 20.

Sure, there is no call, no weekends, but with the vanity of an aging population willing to part with their cash to look a little younger, who can blame them for making more.

Like my profession (who knew I was one of the "favored" specialties when reimbursement has done nothing but go down my entire career), it can be easy or hard. I've had plenty of co-workers look at me like I'm crazy for doing high risk peds and high risk OB.
