What is the most efficient way to deal with these things.

We all suffer from some level of imperfect knowledge. That imperfection may manifest itself in our spelling, grammar [note lack or question mark above], statistical understanding, manners, inability to navigate links, or, heaven forbid, simply an incomplete knowledge of what's going on here.

As a librarian, I see this every day. People who don't know something visit the library to gain information and/or knowledge. How do they find what they need?

Well, usually they avail themselves of various tools as best they can. And when they hit a wall, and can't find what they need, those unwilling to say "nevermind" engage in a harmless and very appropriate behavior.

They ask, and I applaud them for it. It's a pretty productive behavior and one worthy of reinforcement. "Nevermind" is such a very bleak option.

These "things" or "newbies" or "inefficiencies" can be easily dealt with on this discussion board as we would like ourselves to be dealt with when we pose our questions:

With an answer.
