What you object to is that the scoring system rates the performance as the sum of its parts rather than looking at the whole. Individually, Plushenko accomplished his elements with technical brilliance. But artisticly, he has the ice passion of a clam. The Canadian who won Silver had beautiful composition but was not as strong technically. The scoring system favors the technical over the composition and that is why Plushenko won with such ease. I am sure he is a nice guy, but I would not look to him for an emotional relationship.FuskieWho was particularly perturbed that he didn't even show emotion as his National Anthem was played on the medal stand, as if this was just another event for him to get through...
