OTG Software Up 34%, Co Is "Pleased" But Has No News

NEW YORK -- Several data-storage stocks rebounded Wednesday, though none as much as OTG Software Inc. (OTGS), which beat the bunch to jump as much as 34%.

The Bethesda, Md., storage software vendor did not release any news Wednesday, according to Elizabeth Giglio, a company spokeswoman.

"We have no news, but we continue to execute our strategy," Giglio said, adding, "we are pleased with our stock's movement."

Prior to Wednesday's gain, the stock had taken some beatings since Friedman Billing Ramsey analyst David Halal cut his rating to accumulate from buy on Jan. 26.

Halal could not be reached for comment.

Shares of OTG Software recently traded at $12.19, up $3.13 or 34%, on composite volume of 374,000 shares, compared with average daily volume of 355,000 shares.
