I am newbie out here who just started a ROTH IRA (for $7k) and a taxable brokerage account (for $3K). I would like to invest in both Mutual Funds and stocks..
Can you gurus guide me where should I invest what ? I am thinking of using my ROTH for MFs because I want to put money in 5 different asset classes (Large/Small/Mid/International/Micro) and I have only 7K in ROTH ( and all those MFs have NON-IRA minimums around 3K). All of them have IRA minimum of around 1K so that I can split evenly between multiple classes..

Since I would want to do some short term trading, I know that ROTH is the best place for that. But If i go that way, I may not be able to diversify my MF portfolio (poor guy, only has 3K there and they have HUGE minimums) like I want...

Would appreciate if someone could guide me on this...
