While I'm sure you produce all your own recharge power with a wooden windmill you built with wood hewn by your own teeth that came from a tree you grew, nourished by compost from your tilapia/chicken vegetable farm, most of us plug ours into the local power plant that is nuclear, coal, or petrochem fueled.

I see this riposte all the time from people who apparently are shockingly unaware that a standard electrical grid is more efficient than an internal combustion engine, and it makes me wonder how we are ever going to make progress on sustainable energy or climate change so long as this level of ignorance is so pervasive.
