Hi. I have been reading a mystery tonight and there was a reference to a Sister Anne-- it said, "She returned to peer out the window like Sister Anne, but it wasn't her brothers she saw." Now no one in the book is named Sister Anne and I get the distinct impression that Sister Anne is a literary figure that everyone reading the book is suppose to recognize. I don't. Either I've never read that book or forgotten the reference. And I'm curious. I've actually seen the same name once in another book, another mystery-- also a literary reference that I didn't get. Anyone know who Sister Anne is? Thanks much, Susan
