Who negotiated the treaty?

Treaties are made between nations.

The Kurds in Syria, Iran and Turkey do not have a "nation", and the Kurds in Iraq have only a semi-autonomous region.

One does not make treaties with "groups", but we do have a longstanding agreement with the Syrian Kurds.

They've held up their end of the bargain. We, unfortunately, have not. And we've only begun to see the unraveling consequences of that impulsive decision by Trump- which follows no strategy or logic.

Four years ago, the right-wing was all aflame about defeating Islamic fundamentalists. We needed to "fight them over there instead of over here". And the hatred directed toward all Muslims "over here" led many of you to claim we were being disloyal by not sharing your hatred of them.

Now, apparently, it's a-ok that we're leaving ISIS to reconstitute itself.

Meanwhile, we are abandoning the Kurds who have been doing most of the dying in our fight against ISIS.... as we have abandoned the Kurds twice before.

The only interests served by Trump's utter stupidity- are those of Turkey, Syria, and Iran.

This will not turn out well. In fact, we'll be lucky if it doesn't turn into a first class disaster
