I read a thread here arguing about washing or not washing eggs when bought from the side of the road. Why buy those in the first place? We've always bought our eggs from local stores and never have had a problem. Cheaper, too.Guess I'm missing something.Vermonter
Roadside eggs are farm raised and can be extra fresh. Cage free hens.Store bought eggs are mass produced in cages. Most sages say there is no comparison. Fresh eggs have darker yolks and stand up higher in the frying pan.Ymmv.
