My husband and I had a similar experience when we purchased tickets to CA from VA. I even asked the agent what the fees would be...she told me "not more than $5/ticket + taxes. That amounted to an additional $50/ticket (almost 25%)!!!....but to me, the biggest pain is having to accept any flight time they throw at you...whats up with that?...I would never use priceline if timing was a matter of fact...I will never use them again either!
