Will we get to see more of the events this year?

The NBC primetime show will be the same kind of thing it has been for years. They get great ratings, sell lots of ad spots, and it seems to reach past the people that will watch sports no matter what and grab the casual person...most importantly the ones that actually spend money.

But if you have cable or other access to NBC's cable channels, this will be the best coverage ever...

NBC -- same basic coverage plan as in years past.

MSNBC -- over 150 hours of long-form programming (similar to years past)

CNBC -- over 70 hours of boxing coverage (similar to years past)

Bravo -- over 50 hours of tennis coverage (similar to years past)

2 NBC Universal Specialty channels -- nearly 800 combined hours of soccer and basketball coverage (similar to years past)

Then there is the exciting addition...

NBC Sports -- dedicated to covering Team USA with over 250 hours of original programming. This will be a separate thing from the NBC coverage and should be a great addition!

I'm really excited for the NBC Sports addition because it gives another outlet; record it all day and have a place to turn to if (when) the primetime coverage gets annoying!
