While surveying the news this week, I came across a deal that SBC made to sell leasing rights for its wireless towers to a company called SpectraSite. In looking at the deal and other wireless tower management companies, I found what looks like an interesting sub-sector of this industry -- the whole tower management business, which could be lucrative.

Basically, as more and more wireless infrastructure is built, these companies will probably continue to ramp up earnings. Anyone else have a take on these companies?

you can also look into Crown Castle, Intl. and American Tower. Think these would be the 3 biggest players in the tower biz.

As many locales ban new towers or at least limit their proliferation with tougher zoning decisions, the companies that own the towers could be in a good position to get a premium for their tower space.
