With esignatures, I just wouldn't care about branding. It's a commodity. I'm happy using Adobe - particularly if it were free.

I don't see why any esignature would be better than another. It is just confirmation of a transaction. After the algorithm is developed it should cost no more than a credit card transaction (without the credit). This is all digital. Sending bits gets cheaper every year.
Lots of secure internet transactions take place for free already, such as bill pay, paypal and more.
