With NJ's messed up insurance laws, it will still work out best to put it on my insurance, even if I end up paying extra taxes (gotta check on that; thanks for the heads-up). Insurance here is expensive enough that the difference would be several hundred dollars a year. (to give you an idea of how bad it is, when I tell people that my insurance is $1000/year, they ask how I got it for so cheap!)

I'll check the tax angle just to make sure before I get it registered.
